Default Hello (again) - been here once before, a decade ago

    Howdy Front Range 4x4,

My name's Brett, I live in SW Arvada and drive a 2016 Nissan Frontier CCSB PRO-4X 6MT. I'm a somewhat seasoned trail rider and looking to rejoin the Front Range 4x4 community. Trail rides? Wrenching parties? Beer and locking diff stoke? All sounds great. Jim was so gracious as to recently reactivate my account and looks like I'll need to update my profile/name as I sold the TJ during COVID.

FR4x4 Background: I first joined here way back in the 2013 timeline, when I had my 1998 TJ Sport and my 2004 WJ (which then got sold to a FR4x4 forum member in 2014 - wonder if he still has it?). Wasn't in 4LO much over the years - Life got in the way for a stretch and even moved to ABQ, NM 2018-2021. I played around with the TJ some in NM, but it sadly mainly got used for driving around on weekend errands in Albuquerque.

I've wanted a Nissan Frontier CrewCab PRO-4X 6spd manual since the 2nd gen's were announced way back in 2005. I always thought the Nissan 4.0L V6 sounded fun with a 6spd manual, locking rear diff and ~32" stock tires. While I knew the PRO-4X/6MT existed as an option "on paper" - I had actually never seen one in the wild. I sorta accidentally found my truck when perusing Craigslist in late June/early July and jumped all over it. It was a 1 owner truck in Grand Junction, which they kept as their 3rd vehicle and only had 46k miles on the odometer. I drove to GJ on 4th of July weekend 2024 and gladly drove it back to Arvada.

I recently dropped her off at Empire Nissan in Lakewood for an oil change and once-over by the Nissan techs - the CSR told me I had an absolute UNICORN of a truck and that I should never sell it

The Frontier needs an All Dogs Offroad 2" lift and some sliders and then she'll really be a fun, rugged, reliable little truck!

Miss Ginny is my 30lb, 8 year old red heeler mix and she likes looking out the window as we're bouncing down 4x4 trails/roads

Outside of high mountain passes and 4x4 trails, I love mountain biking, skiing and the typical Colorado adventures

Welcome back! I love that truck, they are very underrated in the offroad world, I would probably get one over a Tacoma if I was in the market myself.
