A friend, new to trail riding, has been wanting to visit a trail. Moody Hill was the choice. I just didn't expect the snow. We entered from the western trailhead since the eastern trailhead was fully snow covered - the two rock steps would be snow covered. I drove up the eastern trailhead several hundred yards - no tracks in the snow.
In from the west, there was one day-old set of tracks in the snow but they turned around fairly quickly. On the trail, snow depth was 2-3 inches - nothing deep. One side-by-side showed up at the quarry. They said they needed to winch up one of the rock steps. That was the only traffic for the day (aside from people walking in at the east trailhead with saws to cut trees).
