The shovel and axe stowage location (and look) always catches my eye. I don't know if I'd ever add them - but maybe, just maybe.
Should any of you come across the shovel and axe mounting fixtures - I might be interested.
If I had the tow vehicle, trailer, place to store a trailer, place to store this jeep - I would enjoy having this jeep to take on trails.

Interesting hood mount option! That could work - but I have that spot allocated for an air hose (I'd put the shovel in a different orientation).
I'm planning (have the parts - just need to do it) to have two air hoses, coiled to the underside of the hood, near the firewall, at each side of the hood. One hose for pass side, one for driver side - one air valve and gauge near the battery (pass side) to service both. One axle at a time. I'd not need to fetch the inflation tool from the trunk and air-up might be a bit quicker. There'd be perfect PSI balance for each axle (not a goal, just a benefit).
I just changed spark plugs tonight - and noticed the rocker panel height - there is not much height to it (bottom to door edge) so I couldn't fit axe and shovel - maybe just an axe. Though, having an axe would be but a novelty. Underhood shovel is higher in interest. I currently have a small shovel in the trunk.
I'm watching the installation video for the axe kit from the KW website. I see the indents - and never realized they'd be needed. That area on my jeep is all diamond plate rocker protection - no indents to be made.
